Carole Boshears
Member, Board of Directors
Carole Boshears was an elementary school teacher and administrator, and is a former Superintendent of the Kneeland School District. After retiring, she served as Secretary of the Redwood Coast Village Board of Trustees until the program became a part of HSRC in 2023.
Patti De La O
Member, Board of Directors
Patti De La O is a project manager in the environmental field. She is a volunteer for numerous Humboldt County community organizations. Her experience caring for her elderly parents has spawned a love for seniors and a desire to help them live with dignity and grace.
Dan Hauser
Member, Board of Directors
Dan Hauser, now retired, previously served on the Arcata City Council (including as Mayor from 1978-1982), was a California Legislature Assemblymember for the 2nd District, and is a former City Manager for Arcata. He also has been involved with Affordable Communities, the Timber Heritage Association, and the Kiwanis Club of Arcata.
Amy Hunt
Member, Board of Directors
Amy Hunt is an attorney in Eureka whose professional focus includes estate planning, trust administration, and probate. She works primarily with elders and their families. She has been involved with numerous community organizations including Humboldt Sponsors, College of the Redwoods Foundation, and the St. Joseph Hospital Foundation.
Mary Meengs
Secretary, Board of Directors
Mary Meengs is a physician who had been involved in numerous Humboldt County organizations including Humboldt County Public Health, the Breast and GYN Health Project, Humboldt IPA, Planned Parenthood, and Making Headway Center, as well as a volunteer with Redwood Coast PACE at HSRC.
Jerome Simone
Member, Board of Directors
Jerome Simone was the Chief Executive Officer of United Indian Health Services, Inc. (UIHS). He has spent over 60 years of his life working and studying in the healthcare field, including hospitals, clinics, Public Health Departments, Volunteer Fire Departments as an EMT, and served in the US Navy Medical Corps.
