The Supporting Healthy Aging Conference will take place on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at the Sequoia Conference Center in Eureka. The conference is hosted by HSRC’s Adult Day Health & Alzheimer’s Services.
This full-day conference is an exciting expansion of HSRC’s longtime Dementia Care Conference series. This year’s broadened agenda focuses on supporting the many facets of healthy aging — because aging impacts us all. Everyone deserves access to the tools, knowledge, and community support needed to age well. The agenda’s expanded focus aims to be more inclusive of the many experiences and needs of older adults, their caregivers, families, and related professionals throughout the aging journey — including those who experience age-based and dementia-related conditions.
The conference’s educational sessions focus on four themes:
- The Building Blocks of Healthy Aging
- Sustaining Brain Health
- Empowering Your Healthcare Journey
- How Can We Influence Healthcare Delivery in Humboldt?
The conference speakers are recognized experts and leaders in their respective fields. The conference topics are designed to spark ideas and provide practical tools that can be put into action — at home, at work, and throughout the community. Attendees will be empowered to shape a future where aging is not just about getting older, but about living well — together.
“The Supporting Healthy Aging Conference builds upon HSRC’s strong foundation in dementia care,” said Dr. Samantha Day, Director of Social Services. “At this year’s conference, we welcome everyone who wants to age well, support a loved one, or shape the future of care in our rural community.”
The course fee is $85. This fee includes Continuing Education Credits, lunch, and all course materials. Those who should attend include healthcare and social service providers, family caregivers, older adults, students, and those who are interested in aging well.
