Meals on Wheels Redwood Coast — previously known as HSRC’s Home Delivered Meals —  provides nutritious meals to homebound older adults who are no longer physically or mentally able to to shop or prepare meals for themselves. Meals can be delivered to those age 60 and older living in Arcata, Eureka, Fortuna, and McKinleyville. Spouses of eligible adults can also receive meals.

These meals are delivered to clients’ homes by friendly, courteous drivers who also provide an informal safety check for each client.  Meals on Wheels assists older adults in maintaining good health through adequate nutrition and helps them to continue living at home.

For Meals on Wheels clients, the suggested contribution is $3.50 per meal; however, no one age 60 or older will be denied meals if unable  to contribute.
