POSITION: Kitchen Aide (Redwood Coast PACE and Adult Day Health-Alzheimer Services.) Humboldt Senior Resource Center’s Nutrition Department is seeking candidates to work 30 hours per week M-F for approximately 6 hours each day. This position shall be responsible for food handling and food service in accordance with food safety guidelines from the programs. Food Service shall include snack, mid-day hot meal as well as distribution of take home meals. Responsible for kitchen clean-up before and after food service. Must have HS Diploma or equivalent, ServSafe certified. Prior food handling experience preferred along with physical ability to lift 35 lbs., bend and stand for most of the time on the job. Compensation is $10.58/hour.  Benefits include paid sick, vacation and holidays, medical, retirement and life insurance after 6 mos. with some employee paid insurance benefits. Position: Social Work Care Manager. Humboldt Senior Resource Center is seeking candidates to work P/T, 25 hrs./week with benefits.  This person shall be responsible for providing assessment and care coordination for clients in our Multipurpose Senior Services Program.  Work as part of a team to provide support services to frail elderly living at home. Must have Bachelor's degree or higher in social work, psychology or related field and two years experience working with the elderly.  Familiar with case recording and care management software programs desirable. Shall be responsible for the agency’s fiscal operations and works with the Executive Director to determine short and long term financial strategies for the agency. Qualifications: Must have a Bachelors in Accounting and five (5) years progressively responsible fiscal management experience. Experience to include supervisory responsibilities and working for an organization with a budget of $2 million or above. A CPA with a background in government or non-profit environment, fund accounting and a background in Medicare/Medi-Cal funding is strongly preferred. POSITION: SUBSTITUTE FOOD SERVICE AIDE--IMMEDIATE OPENINGS. Responsible for food handling and clean up at various HSRC dining sites including Eureka, Fortuna and Arcata. Clean, wash, and prepare food service equipment and home delivered meals carriers. Assume other duties in the preparation and serving of meals under the direction of the Food Service Manager. Must have previous kitchen experience, valid Food Safety Manager Certificate, Food Handlers card or ServSafe certification. Ability to stand for extended time and lift up to 40 lbs. M-F 7am to 1:30pm with some variable hours at times. Subs can work up to five days/week in our busy central kitchen or other sites.
