- What if my repairs cost more than $300 in a year?
Answer: If you need major health and safety repairs, and they exceed $300 you will be asked to pay the difference. Our Senior Home Repair workers will estimate the full cost of the proposed work. If the work to be done will cost more than $300, they will work with you to reach a compromise.
- If I do not use all of the $300 in a year, can I carry the remainder into the next year?
Answer: No, the grant runs from July 1st of a given year to June 30th of the next year. There are no carry overs.
- If I live with relatives, can I still use the program?
Answer: Yes, as long as the repairs benefit the senior and the area they use daily.
