Pledges Over Time
You may need time to show your generosity and commitment to the New Alzheimer’s
Center campaign. Through regular contributions, you may take one, two
or three years to complete your donation, using one of several payment
options (for example, regularly mailing in checks or having us automatically
charge your scheduled pledge payments to your credit card).
The following are examples of gift schedules that make substantial
gifts easier over a 36-month period.

Gifts of Stock
You can save taxes in two ways by giving long-term appreciated stock.
First, you avoid paying any capital gains tax on the increase in value
of your stock. Second, you receive a tax deduction for the full fair market
value of the stock on the date of the gift.
Gifts of Real Estate
If you were to sell property that had appreciated substantially in value,
you would be faced with a sizable capital gains tax. If you make a gift
of the property instead, you avoid the tax and, at the same time, realize
a charitable deduction for the property’s full fair market value.
Gifts of Life Insurance
If you own a life insurance policy that you no longer need, you might
consider turning it into a capital campaign gift.
Bequests
You may consider making a charitable gift in your will or living trust
to benefit the New Alzheimer’s Center and perhaps save some estate
taxes. If you already have a will or living trust, you can easily include
the New Alzheimer’s Center as a beneficiary by adding a simple amendment.
