Why We Need the New Alzheimer's Center
Available services in Humboldt County are not enough to meet the needs of families in our community. For over six years, there has been a waiting list for the Alzheimer’s day care program that is now part of the Humboldt Senior Resource Center's Adult Day Health Services.
Yet the New Alzheimer's Center will not only be able to accommodate more families, it will also be specially designed to meet the needs of people with dementia, improving their quality of life. The new facility will also allow us to expand our educational and support services for families and caregivers.
